We’re on Vimeo!

Central Audio Visual now has a Premium Vimeo account, which gives us the ability to host live stream events with audience interaction including live Q&A, polling and infographics.

We recently managed the first ever Virtual Summit for Food South Australia, which was hosted on YouTube, and while there was a good level of interaction throughout the day, our client found the text chat somewhat limited.

Vimeo’s features mean your stakeholders don’t need to log in to an account to participate in asking questions, providing live feedback or answering polls – and the interface can be embedded in your website so your brand is visible and central throughout your virtual or hybrid event.

Talk to us today about live streaming on Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Central Audio Visual featured on LEXAIR News

Central Audio Visual are headquartered in Thebarton, a stone’s throw from Adelaide’s CBD. A family owned and operated AV company, they work in many major venues in SA, and pride themselves on providing the best gear, technicians and customer service to the corporate, events, exhibitions, broadcast, and sporting markets. Being the in-house AV providers at prestigious venues like Adelaide Oval, Central AV needed lighting control that’s fast, flexible, robust, and reliable, which is why they’ve added a High End Systems Full Boar 4 to their existing Hog 4 inventory.

Central’s in-house lighting tech Benny Sigal is a long-term Hog user, harking back to the days of the Full Boar 3. “The Hog platform is all about the ease of patching,” observes Benny. “It’s really quick and easy to repatch from one show to the next. I love the Hog’s speed and flexibility in repatching a show; jig a few user numbers around, get up and running, and make changes very quickly. ‘The power is in the patching’ is what I’ve always said, and I find some of the other lighting control systems are a bit long-winded when it comes to that task.”

Already running two Road Hogs regularly, the Full Boar 4 has been added to not only handle the bigger gigs but expand Central AV’s offerings to its clients. “We needed something with the capabilities of the Full Boar 4 to expand outputs, and increase our processing power,” explains Benny. “We’ve outgrown the eight Universes on the Road Hogs. With the Full Boar 4 we can utilise the four DMX onboard and expand to twelve via ArtNet. As a company, Central AV are running a lot of LED screens, so the eye-candy and onboard pixel mapping was a big factor in choosing the Road Hog 4 and expansion wing. We have a dedicated visualiser suite in our office running a couple of big screens, the Full Boar 4 lives in there to do pre-visualisation for clients with our LightConverse Media v59 software. We’re looking at acquiring some Green Hippo media servers in the near future.”

High End Systems’ Full Boar 4 packs the features and layout of the flagship Hog 4 into a more compact package. Sporting two 15.6-inch multi-touch monitors and two additional video outputs, its local output processing supports 12 universes (6144 output channels) on a combination of Ethernet and 5-pin XLR connections. If needs be, Central AV could run unlimited DMX-512, Art-Net and E1.31/sACN universes via HogNet-connected DP8K processors, meaning no mapping gig is beyond them.

Benny remembers running Road Hog 3s back in the days before Lexair became the distributor for High End Systems in Australia and New Zealand. “I’ve always loved my Hogs, but back then, there was no technical support in this country. When Lexair took the brand on-board, everything just became so much easier. Whenever we’ve had any issues regarding tech or service, Lexair has been there in a flash, and sometimes been on the phone to the USA at all times of the night. They’ve always looked after us, and even loaned us consoles as need be.”

Make-A-Wish Gala Ball

The 2018 Make-A-Wish Gala Ball was a big hit thanks to a great Team of organisers, volunteers and of course the team at Adelaide Oval and Central Audio Visual. We were thrilled to be a major sponsor as well as a corporate table supporter. It was a fantastic night for a great cause and gave us an opportunity to test out our brand new Visualisation Suite. Our Ayrton MagicBlades had a good workout as back lighting effects for the stage and dance floor and looked fantastic with the haze from our Le Maitre MVS Hazer. Robe Robin 300+ moving head wash completed the look from the floor. Contact us now for your next dinner, function or major event.

Crystal chandeliers for hire in Adelaide!

We are super excited to announce that we are now hiring real crystal chandeliers for events. We have had many requests over the years from clients for something that really creates that big decorative impact. The market in Adelaide was somewhat lacking when it came to big ticket items being available for hire due to the logistics of moving such large and delicate items around from venue to venue. We decided to take on the challenge, and with many many hours of hard work from our technicians, some creativity when organising a road case and a lot of love hanging hundreds of crystals – our newest additions are ready to go!

The star of the show has to be the HUGE Anna Maria chandelier, which measures a whopping two meters in diameter and is adorned with hundreds of gorgeous Cristocia diamond cut crystals. This beauty will be right at home at larger events where a feeling of luxurious elegance is paramount; a versatile style allows her to represent a whole range of different themes from traditional elegance to modern glamour. The largest chandelier available for hire in South Australia, she is quipped with 48 lights and can create the ‘wow’ factor all on her own (and will be sure to create a talking point amongst your guests). Not enough bling? Pair the Anna Maria with our intelligent lighting and watch the entire room sparkle.

We have also added four Mini Maria’s to our collection which can either be used in conjunction with the Anna Maria to fill a large space, or on their own for smaller functions. The smaller chandeliers can go into any venue in Adelaide, they are more light-weight than the Anna Maria and can even be used in marquees. If you have an upcoming wedding, don’t miss the chance to book these in to create a feeling of true luxury and romance in your chosen venue.

Why are these chandeliers different? It is very common to see cheaper chandeliers that are tagged and advertised as crystal but are actually made of acrylic, these products generally have very minimal light refraction so that the end result is very dull. Our chandeliers are hung with real Cristocia diamond cut crystals that are of an extremely high quality and offer a stunning light refraction for real sparkle. When hit with light, the crystals give off an impressive array of rainbows and twinkling lights that will set the scene for any luxury event during the day or night. All of our chandeliers have been passed through our rigorous safety standards are are fully rated and threaded to ensure that they are 100% safe for hanging overhead.

Call us today to discuss our chandeliers at your next event!Maria TheresaMini Maria
